Lawrie McLennan has siginficant experience in Technical Production working with some of the world’s most innovative and creative production companies including Cirque du Soleil, Hofesh Shechter Company, New Adventures, Royal Opera House & Schaubühne Berlin.

Lawrie is currently Technical Director for ABBA Voyage, overseeing both the production and its state of the art custom-built home in London, the ABBA Arena.

With a background in dance & gymnastics and having studied Law, Lawrie is uniquely positioned to understand both the artistic, creative side of producing theatre as well as business and operations. He has worked hands-on in many technical departments including Automation, Lighting, Stage Management and Tour Management. He is extremely passionate about creating theatre with the highest production standards and works tirelessly to achieve those high expectations.

Lawrie worked and toured internationally as Technical Director previously for Cirque du Soleil and Hofesh Shechter Company. He has a very good experience developing and touring medium and large-scale productions internationally, as well as leading and managing large teams of technicians and engineers.

As a lighting designer, Lawrie also has lit numerous productions including dance, ballet, theatre & circus.

Lawrie is also a CrossFit Level 1 (CF-L1) trainer.
